Plankton concentration, plankton flux, and damselfish stomach contents for field collections in October, November, and May. Plankton flux in October was calculated using flow meters in the stationary plankton nets, which were calibrated against two current meters located at 1 m and 3 m above the bottom. Plankton flux in November and May were calculated from the average flow at the depth of the meter during the plankton tows. Stomach contents are shown for individual males by size (Oct: n = 10, Nov: n = 12, May: n = 17). Circles: Copepods. Right-facing triangles: Caridean zoea. Upright triangles: Brachyuran zoea.
