Listrura tetraradiata (Siluriformes: Trichomycteridae): A New Glanapterygine Catfish from the Southeastern Brazilian Coastal Plains
Listrura tetraradiata, new species, is described from a small headwater stream of the Lagoa de Araruama system, a coastal lagoon system in Rio de Janeiro state, southeastern Brazil. It is easily distinguished from other species of the genus by having four pectoral fin rays (vs three in Listrura camposi and one in Listrura nematopteryx) and branched rays in pectoral, dorsal and anal fins, these character states unique among glanapterygines. It also differs from its congeners by higher number of premaxillary and dentary teeth and fewer number of procurrent caudal fin rays. É descrita Listrura tetraradiata, espécie nova, coletada num riacho de cabeceira do sistema Lagoa de Araruama - sistema lagunar costeiro do estado do Rio de Janeiro, sudeste do Brasil. Esta espécie facilmente se distingue das outras do gênero por possuir quatro raios na nadadeira peitoral (vs três em Listrura camposi e um em Listrura nematopteryx) e raios ramificados nas nadadeiras peitoral, dorsal e anal-estados de caráter exclusivos dentre os glanapterigíneos. Esta também difere de seus congêneres por um elevado número de dentes no pré-maxilar e dentário, e uma redução no número de raios procorrentes caudais.Abstract
